Before the first visit
What’s the difference between SMILE and a regular dental clinic?
SMILE is the studio of the Boaz dental lab — a lab that has worked for 38 years in Hadera. At a regular clinic, “the lab” is an outside supplier. With us — Boaz works in the adjacent room, by hand, on your tooth.
Does the first consultation cost anything?
30 minutes, with no commitment. If you’d like to continue — we’ll propose a paid path. If not — we’ll send you a summary of what we discussed.
Can I come without a medical referral?
Yes. Most of our patients come on their own. A medical referral is needed only in certain cases (FMR, patients who’ve had surgery).
Clear aligners
How long does clear-aligner treatment take?
On average: 11 months. Mild cases: 6–8 months. Complex cases: 14–18 months. Boaz gives a precise estimate after the scan.
Does it hurt?
The first 3–5 days after each new aligner — light pressure. Not pain. After that — nothing.
Can I eat with the aligners in?
No. You take them out for meals. About 2 hours a day for eating and cleaning, 22 hours in a row.
What if I forget to put them in?
1–2 hours short a day — fine. 5 hours — a problem. We’ll talk it through at your visits.
Veneers
Do veneers damage the natural tooth?
Standard veneers (0.3 mm) require removing a thin outer layer — not reversible. Lumineers (0.1 mm) — usually reversible, but not suitable for every case. We never push.
How long do veneers last?
15–20 years with proper care + a nightguard for those who grind.
If a veneer breaks — can it be replaced on its own?
Yes. Likelihood of breakage: 2–5% over a decade.
Cost and payment
How much does it cost?
It depends on the path. Clear aligners: ₪9,500–25,000. Veneers: ₪4,500–45,000 (depending on quantity). Always full transparency before we begin.
Are there instalments?
Yes. Up to 24 instalments. Interest-free up to 12 instalments.
Does supplementary insurance cover it?
Partially. We help with the forms. Coverage depends on your health fund / insurer.
I can’t manage the cost right now — what can I do?
A personal financing plan. Talk to us at the consultation — we help build a payment schedule that fits your budget.
Privacy
Will my photos be published?
Only if you wish, in writing. You choose from 4 levels: anonymous / eye-strip / first name / heroine. No pressure — most of our patients are not published.
Can I change my mind after I’ve agreed?
Yes. 48 hours to remove a photo from the site. Send us a message.
Logistics
Where are you?
Hadera. 10 minutes from the Hadera-West train station. Free parking.
When are you open?
Sun–Thu 8:00–20:00. Fri 8:00–13:00. By appointment only.
Can I come from Tel Aviv / Haifa / Jerusalem?
Yes. Most of our patients come from 30 min by train from north Tel Aviv. Haifa — 20 min. Jerusalem — 90 min.
